Birthday Book
A ‘thank you’ to Christian Turner who presented
a birthday book on The Tudors to the school on the occasion
of his 10th Birthday.
Hoodwinked
Please ensure
that you have reserved your places for performances of Hoodwinked.
Admission is by ticket, which you should bring with you, this
is to ensure everybody’s comfort and safety as the Hall
can become uncomfortably warm on a summer’s evening.
Parking
PC Trevorrow,
our Community Liaison Officer, visited the school last week
and explained the dangers of parking opposite the junction
of Albertus Gardens with Trelissick Road. He reminded us that
cars should not park near to the junction in Albertus Gardens
as this causes motorists to move out in the path of traffic
turning into Albertus Gardens.
Jump
Rope For Heart
We all enjoyed
our afternoon of skipping to raise funds for The British Heart
Foundation and the event provided impromptu entertainment
for the building site opposite the school. Please return your
sponsorship forms and money as soon as possible and by next
Wednesday at the latest.
Farewell
We say goodbye
today to Daisy Humphries, her family is emigrating to Australia
and we wish them all a happy future. Maddie Langley Saundry
is also finishing her term at St Piran’s today and we
wish her luck at her new school.
After
School Activities
There will be no further sessions of after school activities
this term with the exception of Tennis on Monday afternoon
and Hoodwinked on Tuesday afternoon. It is very important
that all members of the cast attend this rehearsal.
The
Globe Theatre Visit
We are setting off in the ‘Good dawning’ as Shakespeare
calls it. This is a final reminder that all of our travellers
need to be at Truro Railway Station at 7.00 a.m. on Saturday..
The
Newshound!
The West
Briton Newshound will be visiting the school at Monday lunchtime.
We are making a special exception in this case of our ‘No
dogs’ rule so that pupils can meet this special visitor
from the Super Schools Scheme.
End
of term
The Summer Term finishes at 2.00 p.m. on next Friday 4th July.
Please make sure that throughout the forthcoming week you
begin to take your belongings home in preparation for the
end of term.
Awards

It was good
to see so many families and friends at the Awards Ceremony.
A special thank you to The Friends of St Piran’s for
all of their assistance at the event.

Many of you will have noticed the advertisements for St. Piran’s
School in the local press and I have shown a number of visitors

classrooms where we are welcomed by friendly, hard-working children
and staff. I wish you all a very relaxing weekend after the
